The Mosley sex scandal deepened today as British tabloid newspaper The News of the World struck back at comments made by Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) president Max Mosley that the Nazi element of the story the newspaper ran last week was untrue.

The CBC will dramatically increase resources devoted to covering local and national news in Alberta generally and Calgary and Edmonton in particular. CALGARY–CBC News will close the Calgary unit of its Newsworld channel as of next month. The public broadcaster announced Thursday that the two hours of Newsworld programming currently being produced from Calgary will shift to Toronto.
